# Reproducing the synthetic Display P3 color transform

This bundle contains synthetic swatch PNGs, measurements, and the Pillow script used for the article. It does not contain a portrait or the Display P3 profile. The script uses Python 3 and Pillow (ImageCms/LittleCMS).

1. Download `DisplayP3.zip` from the ICC registry entry: https://registry.color.org/rgb-registry/displayp3
2. Extract `Display P3.icc`.
3. Run: `python profile-test.py --display-p3-profile "Display P3.icc" --output out`

The ICC registry identifies Display P3 as a wide-gamut encoding. The downloaded profile is copyrighted Apple Inc. and is deliberately not redistributed in this bundle. The conversion is a local synthetic transform, not a test of MyERAS or MyIntealth.

Compare `display-p3-converted-to-srgb.png` with `display-p3-values-treated-as-srgb.png`. The same five input channel triplets are either transformed to sRGB or read directly as sRGB. `neutral-gray-control.png` is the neutral control. Values, software versions, file sizes, and SHA-256 hashes are in `measurements.json`.
